Key Accountabilities
  • Conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) enshrined in Article 35 GDPR. DPIAs are designed to evaluate processing practices, assess the necessity and proportionality of processing, and assist in managing risks to data subjects — essentially, to measure and demonstrate compliance with the GDPR.
  • Responsible for updating the Privacy inventory. A data inventory is a record of the data assets that an organisation handles and can cover both personal data or general data (accounting, statistical data, network data, etc). General data inventories are typically driven out of the IT, security, or governance department through manual or automated tools and include details on the network and infrastructure.Ensuring implementation and continuous improvement of the Privacy process
  • Collaborate with product managers and other privacy stakeholders to develop and drive consensus around creative solutions to privacy challenges.
  • Track and document new product proposals, status updates, and key decisions.
  • Communicate privacy decisions to the broader cross-functional team, and ensure that those decisions are properly implemented.
  • Support on the development and implementation confidence-related advice to the business
  • Maintain up-to-date overview of international privacy and security developments
  • Support in the dissemination best practice around privacyKnowledge & Experience
    Preferred education/ qualifications:
  • Relevant Master’s degree required  
    Knowledge & Experience:
  • At last 3 year’s relevant professional experience
  • Detailed practical, technical and legal understanding of the European Privacy framework
  • Appreciation of the technology Telenet’s products and service and the policy issues that technology drives.
  • Understanding of the commercial, legal and political context in which Telenet operates;
    Skills & Abilities:
  • Fluency in written and spoken Dutch or French and English
  • Commercial understanding of Telenet’s business
  • An understanding of basic information security concepts like authentication and authorization, encryption, patch management, backup and restore arrangements, etc
  • Able to thrive in an environment with a high degree of task and role ambiguity
  • Excellent ambassadorial and strong persuasion skills.
  • Highly developed writing and presentation skills
  • Project management skills involving tight timescales
  • Ability to work within challenging deadlines
  • Good prioritization skills
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, and highly organized
  • Self-starter, with ability to work independently
  • Ability to work effectively in teams
